Babson Park

Babson College was established in 1919 with a focus on business education. Offering undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as certificate programs, Babson is known for its unique curriculum which integrates traditional business classes with liberal arts courses - and its accelerated degree program allows students to complete their studies within three years!

Entrepreneurship

Babson students learn entrepreneurial leadership with an emphasis on entrepreneurial leadership. By taking actions, solving problems, and gracefully managing uncertainty they create economic and social value in their organizations, communities, and worldwide.

Many Alums of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point have established their own companies, including major ones like Gerber, Home Depot, and Zumba Fitness. Furthermore, many have made great early career earnings as well as making Money magazine's "Top Colleges for Entrepreneurs" list.

Babson College stands out in its dedication to experiential learning for undergraduate degrees. Students participating in its Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship course work in teams to generate business ideas informed by research, observations, and experiences gathered through observation or direct experience. At Rocket Pitch presentations their ideas are then judged against others presented for consideration further development or testing by classmates within their class.

Babson faculty and alumni will assist you with starting or expanding an existing business or creating a nonprofit. Faculty conduct groundbreaking research, consult with companies and startups, publish in top journals, as well as engage in entrepreneurial initiatives such as mentoring MBA students or providing advice to startup companies.

Students enrolled in the Founders Program, an intensive full-time MBA program, engage in hands-on experiential activities designed to equip them with the knowledge and confidence needed to launch and run their own businesses. Starting by exploring personal interests with small groups before formulating and refining business concepts through ideation, exploration, and analysis. After which, their ideas are pitched before a panel of judges who select those most promising for further analysis and implementation.

The Founders Program also features a service component, in which students partner with local non-profits to implement their ideas in real-world settings. Students contribute 80 hours of community service during this program and donate 50% of the profits they make back to nonprofits of their choice. Furthermore, an optional course abroad in Dubai or Shanghai exposes students to new global opportunities and perspectives.

Sustainability

Babson College recognizes the growing significance of sustainability as one of the primary drivers for innovation and business success in today's globalized world. With natural resources becoming more scarce, climate conditions shifting, supply chain transparency increasing, and supply chain visibility increasing rapidly, it has become a driving force of business innovation and success. Therefore, their curriculum now places greater emphasis on this aspect - including the Socio-Ecological Systems course which explores how products and services offer both social and economic value to customers; additionally, their Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME) course has been revised to incorporate sustainability throughout startup processes.
