Recently, actor Leonardo DiCaprio visited Worcester to film scenes for a new Netflix movie entitled "Don't Look Up." In it he stars alongside Jennifer Lawrence as star-crossed astronomers who discover that an earth-threatening meteor is on a collision course with Earth; other cast members include Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett. Filming took place early morning outside Mercantile Center and later at DCU Center arena; passersby stopped to take photos but the production crew quickly removed them so as not to interrupt filming!

Wearing professorial-looking glasses and a brown jacket, DiCaprio shot on a train platform scene from Adam McKay comedy film featuring Lawrence as an astronomer on an Earth-bound media tour to warn about an approaching asteroid that's set to strike Earth - joined by Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Kid Cudi, Timothee Chalamet and Rob Morgan among many other notable cast members!

DiCaprio made headlines recently when he made an unforgettable impression on Cape Cod actor Jody O'Neil by showing up unannounced to thank him for helping with one of his recent projects. O'Neil said it surprised him when he found DiCaprio practicing his lines before him while standing in the bathroom mirror rehearsing - leaving O'Neil stunned and speechless!
